A Penny & Rose internal tool

Keep the original label reference close to the order it belongs to.

Saved Labels helps Penny & Rose retrieve the label design saved with a personalized Shopify order. It pairs the original PNG reference with production information, including selected scents, blend ratios and saved symbol details, so the business can prepare the customer's product accurately.

How it works

1. The app checks an order's saved label information and identifies its original design and artwork version.
2. The existing Penny & Rose renderer reconstructs the saved reference. The workflow verifies the reference before accepting the PNG.
3. Verified PNGs and production notes are stored in the business's selected private Google Drive folder, organized by order.
4. Authorized staff can find the corresponding reference through Shopify Admin. Opening the Drive file also requires Google access to that file.

Why it connects to Google Drive

The business owner chooses the existing SPECIAL OCCASIONS LABELS folder. The app requests Google's limited drive.file permission to work with files selected for the app or created through it. It checks the connected account and file permissions, stores label files and notes, and verifies downloads. It does not request general access to every file in the account.

Connecting Google does not make the folder public. Customers do not need to install this app or connect their own Google accounts.

A reference for production

A saved PNG is a production reference, not a completed proof or a promise that printing is ready. Build Your Own references can contain illustrative scent placeholders; the accompanying production notes preserve the actual choices. Penny & Rose reviews the final artwork before printing.
